Altra Lone Peak 9+ Trail Running Shoes

On technical terrain, the Altra Lone Peak 9+ keeps the foot level on a 25mm zero-drop platform. A ripstop upper with fine-pored mesh lining holds its shape and drains quickly, while the foot-shaped toe box leaves room for the toes to splay. Moderate cushioning and an internal heel counter support the rearfoot. **Product Highlights** • Vibram Megagrip outsole with 3.5mm multi-directional lugs for traction on wet rock, mud, and hard-packed dirt • Stone Guard rock plate set between midsole and outsole, shielding the foot from sharp stone without dulling ground feel • Gaiter attachment ring over the forefoot for fitting trail gaiters • Fine-pored mesh keeps coarse sand and grit out while letting water drain **Best For** • Trail runners in high-rainfall areas where slick rock calls for extra grip • Long days of off-trail hiking and light scrambling across rugged ground • Runners moving across to zero-drop shoes who still want cushioning underfoot • Multi-day fastpacking routes where gaiters keep debris out of the shoe
